(3-3) Oregon 0 - (#1 6-0) California 56
EUGENE - Cal fans braved the unfriendly confines, and pouring rain, of the Autzen Zoo this week and faced off against Oregon. Cal enjoyed a rankings boost over Alabama after beating #10 USC and came into this game the top team in the nation. At this rate we could see a third Cal-Alabama BCS Title game. Boring.
Cal continued to roll on offense, and after today Oregon fans will be sick of Green. HB Darrell Green completely ate up Oregon's defense in the second half and finished with 237 yards on 20 carries. QB Kyle Boehm continued to look sharp passing the ball and added 56 rushing yards and 2TD of his own. ATH Travon Harvin managed to follow up his performance against USC with a 3TD game today, at this rate Cal's offense could be unstoppable.
The Golden Bears defense continued its drive to humiliate every QB in the Pac-10 with a real whipping of Oregon QB Darren Thomas. Oregon's spread offense could not get going, especially the running game, Thomas and HB Kenjon Barner combined for negative rushing yards. HC Chip Kelly is going to have his hands full rebuilding their program.
Cal's performance against Oregon was enough to convince yet another top recruit to commit. Coach London received the verbal commitment of the nation's top G prospect Paul Jones from Louis Heights HI.
