A Real Laugher In Pullman

(2-6) Washington State 0 - (#2 8-0) California 52

PULLMAN - After a brutal stretch of games Cal would face off against Pac-10 basement dweller Washington State. Coach London is probably not looking past the Cougars, but odds are that the Golden Bears won't break much of a sweat and cruise to a solid victory. Winning this game would be a great way for Cal to head into the rest of the season which features a favorable stretch of four home games.

Cal would barely break a sweat in the game, and may have been able to win it without stepping off the bus. Beau Sweeney was sharp, going 20/24 and continuing his streak of 300 yard passing games. Marvin Jones and Darrell Green continued to find the endzone and made quick work of Washington State's defense.

One player that did break a sweat was Cal's DE/OLB Chris Martin. Martin completely owned the Cougars and set career highs for tackles, tackles for a loss, and sacks in a game. Not to be outdone, CB Terrence Miller grabbed two INT to lead the nation with 9. Cal enjoyed a 474-94 advantage in offensive yards and forced 3 turnovers.
