Beavers Blanked In Corvalis

(#2 11-0) California 56 - (#22 6-4) Oregon State 0

CORVALIS - Oregon State welcomed California today, hoping to end Cal's chances of winning the Pac-10 and a trip to New Orleans. Oregon State looked like they were going to take advantage of the fall of USC and Oregon, but Cal jumped them and took the conference out from under them. Last year wasn't very good for the Beavers, but that won't stop Coach Mike Riley's well coached players from giving into Cal's momentum.

Cal's offense looked like a replay of every single week proceeding this one. It didn't take much for Cal to pass 52 points for the 11th straight game, the only shocker being Marvin Jones exploding on the tight Beaver defense for 226 yards. Cal's offense has been unstoppable all season and this game was no different, hopefully there will be something left in the tank for the Pac-10 title showdown next week against #3 Stanfurd.

Green enjoys a trip to the endzone.

Oregon State's offense was not good at all. HB Jaquizz Rodgers gave Cal a headache last year, but this year he was mostly held to short runs inside. The passing game was tepid and just couldn't get going, giving Cal an opportunity to keep them off the scoreboard.
