Bears Defense Devours Hawkeyes

(#2 3-0) California 77 - (1-2) Iowa 3

BERKELEY -
Cal played host to Iowa today and looks to be in line for another trip to the BCS Title game, the Bears rose to #2 after being ranked #4 last week. Cal has had a brutal non-conference schedule so for, so a win today would be huge when the BCS rankings come out. It looks as though Cal may be developing into a national superpower.

Cal started off on the right foot, again, and put Iowa away very quickly. Kyle Boehm looked much sharper today, going 12/14, and spread the ball evenly between twin receivers Mike and DeAndre Brown. The surprise on offense today was ATH Travon Harvin, who had an incredible day on both sides of the ball. Harvin caught a TD, ran one in, and managed to pick off Iowa's James Vandenberg.

Travon Harvin enjoys a huge day against Iowa

Iowa barely knew what hit them on offense, aside from a FG drive QB James Vandenberg lived out a turnover nightmare. Iowa had 148 passing yards, but a Steve Williams and Dalvin Glass TAINT managed to outscore the Iowa offense. When the dust settled Vandenberg threw 7INT, the poor guy will be having nightmares for the rest of the season.
