BERKELEY - Cal returned home and welcomed the quacking fans of Oregon this week. After felling #5 Oregon State a win today could set up the Bears for a walk to the finish line.
Snooze. Cal had their way with Oregon, they may have been playing with 9 men on the field. HB Darrell Green powered a whopping blowout with 7 rushing and 2 receiving TD. Cal's defense constantly put the offense in a great position to score, and they took advantage of it time and time again.
Green's game could have won him a second Heisman.Oregon's offense looked hapless most of the game. The loss of their QB depth has really hurt them lately, and today was no different. Oregon QB Bryan Bennett went 9/17 for 35 yards and 4INT, not the kind of passing attack you want. Cal's freshman CB Andre Booker snatched two of Bennett's 4INT.
