(#5 6-1) Oregon State 0 - (#1 8-0) California 56
CORVALIS - The undefeated Oregon State Beavers welcomed Cal for a nationally televised game. The Beavers have been on the rise and look to challenge for the conference title, beating the Bears would put them in the drivers seat for the Pac-10 title.
Oregon State managed to do something only West Orion Union has done; keep Cal under 60 points. QB Kyle Boehm had an off day, throwing his third INT of the season and fumbling the ball on an option play. Luckily for the Bears they have HB Darrell Green, who rushed for 295 yards and 4TD. Cal was efficient and deadly, winning this game easily.
The Beavers had better luck on offense for most of the game, but they were done in by sloppy turnovers. Kyle Boehm had fumbled the ball on Cal's 15, giving the Beavers a great opportunity to deny Cal their 5th shutout of the season, but CB Terrence Miller snagged an INT in the endzone. Oregon State's One Back set has caused Cal trouble, and it continued to help keep their defense on the field, but in the end it wasn't enough.
